23rd April - departing for Monza unfortunately without the Aston Martin - more news soon.
7th April - The JWA Porsche scoops third place in the Michelin Endurance Energy Challenge. This a simple index of performance balances speed and distance covered against fuel used. It also carries an entry for Le Mans 24 Hours in 2009 for the winner of the overall championship.
6th April - The JWA Porsche puts in a great performance to finish eighth, scoring 1 point in the LMS championship. With the potential for a great deal more pace the Finnish pairing of Forsten and Palttala and Brit Paul Daniels should be scoring regularly this season.
6th April - It is with great regret that JWA have decided to withdraw the Aston Martin Vantage GT2. An engine malady that could not be repaired in the field meant that we were left with no option.
5th April - with practice over and qualifying completed the JWA cars will line up in 10th place - the Aston and in 12th place for the Porsche. The Porsche was qualified by Norseman Horseman Michael Forsten whose pace has been very impressive. The pace of the Aston has been a little hampered by not having run Dunlop rubber in any testing done previously.
3rd April - after a tense couple of days the driver line-up for the JWA Aston is released. Alan van der Merwe together with Michael Outzen and Stephane Lemeret will debut the Aston Martin Vantage GT2 the the LMS 1000kms of Catalunya on 6th April.
6th - Testing news - JWA with the Martini Homage liveried Porsche 997 will be testing at Pembrey on 19th March. We will be testing drivers and doing some back to back tests with tyres from various manufacturers.
5th - Alan van der Merwe completed a very competant 20 laps of the HTT Paul Ricard in the Aston martin Vantage GT"2 late on Wednesday afternoon. The cars initial set up was not ideal but Alan professed himself as "very pleased" and "its great fun".
1st - Test day at HTT Paul Ricard will not include the JWA Porsche 997 when a delayed delivery of parts from europe caused difficulties in completion of revised engine.
22nd - The testing of the Formula Renault has proceeded with pace and and some interesting views and attitudes are being expressed both on and off the track. The conditions are somewhat difficult in the strong easterly breeze but in general an excellent first test.
21st - The decision has been made and for the third time in three years the ACO have decided not to invite us to participate in the 24Heures du Mans. We have made the decision to attend the LMS test day at Paul Ricard in early March.
18th - JWA will be conducting a shake down test of the new Formula Renault at our own private test track on Friday 22nd February. We hope to introduce the new workforce to the car and its running intrigacies. We will also have a film team on site looking at the possibilities of making a television documentary.
11th - JWA has achieved its first 2008 goal with an entry for both the Aston Martin and the Porsche in Le Mans Series. We will be entries number 93 for the Aston Martin and 95 for the Porsche as last year. This has been great news for the team and with a plan in place this early it will certainly pay dividends out on the track. Everyone is delighted.
4th - JWA to enter Aston Martin Chassis Number 3 in the 2008 LMS. The car currently in build in Banbury and will be delivered in time for the third round of the season at Spa. Aston Martin Racing will be providing their development car for the first two rounds to ensure a season long tilt at the championship. Long term technical partnership with Aston Martin will be the focus of development over the next years. A Season long LMS campaign for the car is also likely to include the Spa 24 hours.
4th - JWA to enter a 2 car LMS team in 2008 as both the Aston Martin and the 2007 Porsche GT3RSR will be run concurrently. James Watt was keen to point out that JWA's multi talented and flexible workforce would not to be phased by the challenge.
4th - Our Formula Renault programme continues to take shape initially championed as a learning vehicle for our Staffordshire University partners we have begun the rebuild of the ex AKA Cobra chassis in readiness for testing later this month. We have a seat in the car currently available but you will have to move quickly as we are raising a lot of interest.
27th - JWA Le Mans 24 Hour entry dispatched to that famous office in La Sarthe
21st - Very successful Autosport show with a great level of enquiry from some of the top names in the Motorsport Industry. Some cracking projects were discussed news of which we hope to bring you later on the website.
14th - first day of work experience for the students of Staffordshire University. Initial feedback indicates that this programme will bring excellent mutual benefits. Registrations for 2009 already at record levels - very encouraging.
